Sender ID

Change the Sender ID (From-ID / Originator) of messages from your account to a phone number or an 'alpha string' of up to 11 Characters. This can be used to 'Brand' messages with your company identity.

1. Alphanumeric/Number Sender ID from your approved list of Sender ID's to be used for GSM Recipients. 
2. Number Sender ID from your approved list of Sender ID's to be used for CDMA Recipients.

What is so special?

Create a unique Sender ID for your messages. Being alphanumeric, Sender ID will be displayed only on GSM phones. CDMA (Reliance and Tata Subscribers) phones will show 562636822 or your phone number as the default Sender ID. Your Sender ID will be activated after an authentication process. Please read the instructions carefully before creating your new Sender ID.

• The Sender ID shall not exceed 11 characters and must be alphanumeric.
• Do not include any special characters in the Sender ID.
• The Sender ID will be displayed on any message sent to a GSM phone. Messages received on CDMA phones will display only 562636822 as the Sender ID.
• While sending Flash Messages do note that they can be sent to GSM numbers alone (Reliance does not support this feature whereas TATA is dependant on handset compatibility).
• Replies cannot be received from message recipients if the Sender ID is alphanumeric. To receive replies to your messages, use your Reply Number as the Sender ID.
• Personal names are not allowed as Sender ID.
• Pure numeric ID or mobile numbers are not permitted as Sender ID.
• Submission of the request for a new Sender ID is followed by an authentication process. Requests for a unique Sender ID must be accompanied by documentary proof (Trademark/ Brand Registration/ Company Registration etc.), as well as an undertaking on your Company’s letterhead.
• Your Sender ID will be activated only after Admin approval within 7 working days.
